Should You Go and Stay At Staybridge Suites Newcastle?

If you read my post on what I’ve been up to this year then you’ll already be aware that in early May my boyfriend Pete and I stayed overnight in Newcastle to celebrate his birthday. We looked at quite a few places to stay online but in the end, we settled on Staybridge Suites Newcastle. Unlike a standard hotel Staybridge Suites offers, you guessed it, suites. From studio suites to one-bedroom suites. I believe all suites come with complimentary wifi and hot buffet breakfast and each suite claims to be bigger than a standard hotel bedroom. Each suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen which makes the…

How Good Are The Revolution Pro Foundation Drops?

Back in May, I shared a Revolution Beauty haul after purchasing a few products from the brand. One of the products I purchased was the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops. These affordable foundation drops are available in 18 different shades with colours for all different skin tones. I opted for the shade F3 which is a shade that is said to be ideal for those with pale complexions and pink undertones. On me, the shade does oxidise a little but all in all I can get away with the colour but in an ideal world, I would have liked it to be a smidgen…

4 Fantastic Songs From The BTS Love Yourself: Tear Album I Love

With the BTS Love Yourself: Tear album released in late May I thought it was about time that I shared my love for a few of the tracks on the album. Now admittedly I don’t love the album quite as much as Love Yourself: Her. However, I think it is going to be one of those albums that grow on me. There are a few songs on the album that I enjoy but the four mentioned below are the ones I really, really love. Anpanman The first song from the BTS Love Yourself: Tear album that I love is Anpanman. If…

Is The NYX Taupe Blush Good For Pale Skin?

First things first, I’d like to apologise for the fact that my NYX Taupe Blush in the picture has been touched. I’m a bad blogger, I know. The truth is I was so eager to give the product a try and taking picture perfect snaps of the blush just kinda slipped my mind. I’m only human, right? Anyway, moving on. If you read my post on the makeup from Cult Beauty that I recently picked up then you’ll have already spotted me talking about this. In a nutshell, for a while, I’d been using the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2…

So Far In 2018: 5 Things That Have Happened In My Life

I cannot believe it is June already. This year is totally flying over but then again, don’t we say that every year? Since we are halfway through the year I thought I’d do a little catch-up sort of post to document what I’ve been up to in the past six months for those of you who care and of course for myself as a sort of little diary because I’m kinda sentimental like that. Despite this post being pretty cheery, my 2018 hasn’t been all bells and whistles. There have been some tough and testing times but the main this…

The Best Lunch In Newcastle? ShiJo Cafe

Recently when on out and about in Newcastle with my boyfriend we took a stroll hand in hand down Northumberland Street. We passed Haymarket Metro station and before we knew it a delicious waft of flavourful scent entered our noses. We were extremely intrigued by this tasty smelling scent and shortly after we discovered the smell was coming from a place called Shijo Cafe. Shijo Cafe is a Japanese style place that serves the likes of ramen, yakisoba, Japanese style curry, gyozas and soups amongst other dishes. The menu isn’t massive but it is very respectable considering the place is quite…

6 Really Catchy Songs I’ve Been Listening To In May

7Lions – Born 2 Run The first of the really catchy songs I’ve been listening to in May is 7Lions – Born 2 Run. This is a kind of rock, pop and hip-hop mix. It’s just a great song that you can bop along to. To me, it has sports theme written all over it so I was not surprised to hear that in the past it has been featured by the NFL, NASCAR, MLB, ESPN and WWE. Oh, and it’s also worth pointing out that this song isn’t new, it’s been out since 2012. However, that doesn’t take away the fact that…
