Want to know my thoughts on the Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Sophie?
What Illamasqua say
"Illuminate, radiate, make your face come alive with the colour and drama of Illamasqua Powder Blusher. Colour-intense and highly pigmented, use it to shade, brighten, enhance and define the shape of your face. Be bold, be daring, be the centre of attention."
The Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Sophie retails at £18.00 and is available to purchase on the Illamaqua website and at Illamasqua counters. I was lucky enough to pay just £10.00 for this blush a couple of months back during an Illamasqua sale.
The blush comes in Illamasqua's signature chunky packaging which I'm a fan of. It holds the product well and looks pretty.
First of all if you weren't aware the Illamasqua Sophie collection is in support of the Sophie Lancaster foundation which was set up by Sophie's mam after her daughter was a victim of hate crime because she looked different. Sophie was attacked and sadly passed away from her injuries. Today the Sophie Lancaster foundation focuses on creating respect for and understanding of subcultures. Sophie is a stunning coral that is very pink toned. It's packed full of gold glitter which looks quite chunky in the pan but once applied to the skin, it gives a nice glow without looking over the top or in your face. In terms of quality, it's highly pigmented so only a little is needed to give cheeks a nice flush of colour and don't worry if you apply a little too much as it can easily be blended out for a much more wearable look. Sophie isn't just highly pigmented, it has great staying power too. I found it to last around 9 hours before any fading was visible. Not bad. Not bad at all.
- In support of a good cause
- Pretty effective packaging
- Highly pigmented
- Blends well
- Long lasting
- Stunning shade
- On the pricey side
Sophie is a truly stunning blush with really good quality. Of course £18.00 is a lot to pay for a blusher but Illamasqua quite often have sales going on so if you're lucky you may be able to snap this up for a fraction of the price.
