The first product that is a Summer skincare essential is definitely the Delph Sun Block Lotion in factor 50. I feel like sun protection products are an absolute must. A few years back I went to Barcelona and I burnt really badly despite using a branded sun lotion that had a factor of 30. Ever since then and after reading countless articles about the damage that UV rays can cause the skin, I’ve always taken sun protection rather seriously. I recently discovered the brand Delph and I think it is safe to say the factor 50 lotion they have created is one of the very best I’ve tried.

Delph products come with both UVA and UVB protection. The products are tested on human volunteers and one of the few products that are prescribed by medical professionals as they really do help to protect even the most vulnerable skin. These sun lotions are available in SPF 15 to SPF 50 and come in 150ml tubes ranging from £3.49 to £4.99. I was very lucky to recieve the Delph Sun Block Lotion in Factor 50 and it is not only effective but amazingly good value for money.

Delph Sun Block Lotion in Factor 50 has a beautiful classic sun lotion like scent. It goes on really easily but doesn’t leave a horrible greasy film behind on the skin. Although I’ve unfortunately not been abroad this year, this has protected me against the British sunshine. I think if you’re after a product to really provide the skin with maximum protection this is definitely worth checking out.

AVON Skin So Soft Original Dry Spray Oil (link)

My second Summer skincare essential is the AVON Skin So Soft Original Dry Spray Oil. I actually have a whole blog post on this product so be sure to check out my AVON Skin So Soft Original Dry Spray Oil Review. This product is honestly one of my favourite moisturisers. The dry spray oil comes housed in an easy to use spray bottle. If you’re like me and at times you cannot be bothered with applying thick body butters and lotions, this is something you need to check out.

To apply you simply spray it onto the skin and then quickly rub it in. I like to apply this right after a shower or bath to really lock in moisture for maximum hydration. Before you know the skin feels soft, smooth and hydrated due to the fast absorption of the product. Another thing I love about this product is the fact that it contains Jojoba. This really helps to soothe the skin and makes me think this would be good to apply onto the skin after a day in the sun. Another thing worth mentioning is that some even claim this repels insects. Whilst I cannot confirm or deny this I think if true this would definitely make a nice change to those potent citronella fragranced repellent products.

Dr Jart+ Water-Act Skin Mist (link)

The last product to make it into my Summer skincare essentials is the Dr Jart+ Water-Act Skin Mist. Now it is worth noting that this product isn’t the easiest thing to get hold of. I cannot be 100% sure but I suspect production of this product may no longer be a thing. Because it isn’t easy to get hold of I was not going to mention this mist in my post however, I’ve been using this since 2014 and it is definitely something I love and swear by. This is my second bottle of the refreshing toner and I still have a lot of love for it. The product is a liquid spray that claims to increase the skin’s moisture levels whilst refreshing the skin.

To use this I simply spray it on my face and neck whenever I’m feeling on the hot or flushed side. For me this stuff is great for bedtime when I seem to suffer from hot flushes thanks to Marc being such a warm person. A couple of spritz and I instantly feel cooled down, refreshed and my skin also feels slightly soothed too.

Here in the states, Avon’s skin so soft is recommended to use on dog’s with dry skin and it does repel files on them. I have needed to use it on two different dogs, who have had dry skin, the vet always recommends it.
