5 Eye Makeup Products That I Absolutely Love
When it comes to eye makeup products I love a whole variety of things and I do like to switch things up often. However, there are a few products in my makeup collection that I reach for time and time again. They’re my staples and products that I never get sick of. To some, they may not be as good as others but for me, they work. Below are just five of my many eye makeup products that I absolutely love and end up going back to time and time again.
Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette*
The first of the eye makeup products that I absolutely love is the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. This is a cooler-toned version of the very popular original Naked Basics palette. It contains six neutral shadows that are absolutely ideal for everyday wear. The shades include Skimp, a pale nude satin. Stark, a nude-pink matte. Frisk, a cool grey matte. Cover, a muted red-brown matte. Primal, a muted brown matte. And last but not least, Undone, a deep smoky brown matte.
The palette is small and compact in terms of size which makes it ideal for travel and on the go use. In the past, I’ve not been a huge fan of matte eyeshadows. However, I feel that Urban Decay makes them extremely well. They’re silky in texture and also have a decent amount of colour pay off unlike a lot of brands. Unlike a lot of palettes, I actually reach for pretty much each shadow on a daily basis in this neutral palette. Although I would definitely say that I tend to use Undone a little less often. In terms of my most used shade, I’d probably say it is Frisk. I use this in so many makeup looks. However, I also find it is a great contour shade for my pale complexion.
Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold
The second of the eye makeup products that I absolutely love is definitely Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold. I mentioned this product a little while back in my 3 excellent cream eyeshadows worth checking out post. Anyway, this is my favourite go-to eye makeup product for a quick and easy look. The colour is a gorgeous baby pink cream shadow that has gold shimmer running throughout. The colour works fantastically on its own but also works beautifully along with MUA’s Shade 2 Pearl for a really gorgeous look. When applying I find it goes on best with fingertips as opposed to brushes. The product also has pretty good staying power and is nice and affordable.
Makeup Academy Shade 2 Pearl Eyeshadow
The third of the eye makeup products that I absolutely love is the Makeup Academy Shade 2 Pearl Eyeshadow. Now initially I wasn’t going to include this eyeshadow as it can be a bit of a pain to get hold of. However, it is one of my all time favourite makeup products. Therefore, I had to mention it.
This eyeshadow is bright white shade with a pearl finish. However, on the skin, it comes off as a gorgeous blinding cool silver shade. It reminds me of a snowy ice queen. Now I do not use this as an all over lid colour. Instead, I used it as an inner corner highlight shade. And guess what? It makes my eyes pop. It just gives this fresh, wide-awake effect to any eye look and I simply love it. Sure the packaging is quite frankly rubbish and the lasting power isn’t utterly amazing. However, it is a definitely one of those products I never tire of.
Makeup Academy Intense Colour Eyeliner in Snow White
The fourth eye makeup product that I absolutely love is the Makeup Academy Intense Colour Eyeliner in Snow White. It isn’t that often that I use eyeliner but something I do like to use is this white liner from MUA. This just makes my eyes appear bigger and more awake. The eyeliner itself is cheap, cheerful and applies pretty softly to the water line. It isn’t the fanciest of liners but it does come complete with a handy sharpener within the lid which is extremely useful.
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast HD Collagen Mascara*
And the fifth and final makeup product that I love is the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast HD Collagen Mascara. I’ve mentioned this product on my blog way back in my July 2016 favourites. I also mentioned it in my 3 mascara products I’m loving at the minute post. However, for some reason, I’ve never shared an in-depth review of this beauty and I’m not entirely sure why.
This mascara for me adds really great volume to my lashes. However, it does not make them look clumpy at all. Instead, it just gives them this beautiful slightly dramatic look but without looking too unnatural. I also like how much length this mascara gives to my lashes too. For me the mascara doesn’t feel heavy nor does it make my lashes feel dry or damaged. It just works for me and is a mascara that I will most certainly be repurchasing over and over again as time goes on.
