Birchbox July 2016 | Never-Ending Summer
This month’s Birchbox is the Birchbox July 2016 Never-Ending Summer box. The box is in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh and is said to contain a great selection of beauty products from a variety of brands. The box contains two full-size products, one of which is an exclusive lipstick. As usual, the box is available to purchase on the Birchbox website (link) and retails at £10.00 plus £2.95 postage and packaging. Wondering what I received in last month’s Birchbox? Check out my Birchbox June 2016 review. Anyway, here is what I received in this months Birchbox:
LOC x Millie Ultra Gloss Pencil in Bohemian Rose (link)
The first product in the Birchbox July 2016 box was the absolutely gorgeous LOC x Millie Ultra Gloss Pencil in Bohemian Rose. A little while back I tried the LOC Vibrant Matte Lipsticks from the brand as well as the LOC One and Done Shadow Sticks so I was happy to receive another product from the brand. Bohemian Rose is basically right up my street. The shade is a pink that adds a slight pop of colour to the lips but at the same time, it is very wearable and easy to pull off. The shade applies well and gives the lips a slightly glossy shine. The lipstick was designed and named by former Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh. The lipstick retails at £9.00 and I received the full-size version in my box.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer
Another full-size product I received in my Birchbox July 2016 box was the John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer. This is a product that claims to help fight frizz which in turn is said to give the hair smooth and uniformed style. To use you simply apply the product to wet hair distributing from mid-lengths to tips. I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet but I’m looking forward to giving it a go as my hair can get rather frizzy, particularly in the warmer weather. This product retails at £9.99.
Nails inc. Nail Varnish in Oxford Street
The third product I received in my Birchbox July 2016 box was a mini Nails inc. Nail Varnish in the shade Oxford Street. Now I’m not going to lie when I first spotted this I was disappointed. I mean it isn’t exactly a Summery nail colour nor does it look that great in the bottle but I’ve tried it and I’ve got to admit, I like it. Oxford Street in the bottle comes off as a sort of caramel shade that has an every so slight green tone about it. However, on the nails I find it comes off a lot darker and appears as more of a chocolate-brown. Two coats provided my nails with excellent even coverage, the application was easy, drying time was satisfactory and the shine the colour provides the nails with is beautiful. The full-size version of this product retails at £15.00.
Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water (link)
The fourth product I received in my Birchbox July 2016 box was the Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water. I’ve received this product multiple times in beauty boxes so it definitely isn’t a new discovery for me. The product is a gentle liquid makeup remover that removes product well and has a refreshing lemon and mint scent. I do actually rate this product however, I find that my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water works just as well at a fraction of the price. The full-size version of this product retails at £15.00.
Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask (link)
And last but not least I received one Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask in my Birchbox July 2016 box. I’ve tried a few Hydraluron range products as well as other products from Indeed Labs and I’ve got to say, they’re fantastic. I’m always on the look out for more moisture boosting products so this will be interesting to try during a relaxing Sunday afternoon for a skin boost. The full-size version of this product retails at £19.99.
