February 2017 Favourites
Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze
The first product to make it into my February 2017 favourites is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Bronzer. I’ve had this large bronzer sat in my collection for a while now. When we moved house naturally I sorted through all my makeup. It was then when I decided to make an effort to put this product to use. This is a bronzer that I find great for contouring. The finish is matte with an ever so slight sheen to it but it works well at creating faux shadows on the skin. Ideally, I would have liked the bronzer to be slightly cooler-toned but for £3, it is a great affordable bronzer that blends out really well.
Technic Baked Hearts Blusher
The second product to make it into my February 2017 favourites is the Technic Baked Hearts Blusher. The Technic Baked Hearts Blusher is a cheaper alternative to the Too Faced Sweethearts Blushes. In my review of this product, I mentioned that in comparison to another cheap dupe, the I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Blusher, the product wasn’t as pigmented and I naturally saw this as a negative. However, that being said recently I’ve been feeling very under the weather. Because of this, I couldn’t really be bothered with creating fabulous looking makeup but I did still want a slight healthy looking wash of colour on my cheeks. This is where the Technic Blusher came in. It gave me the perfect amount of colour that I was looking for to fake that super natural healthy look.
Soap and Glory Glow All Out Highlight and Sculpt Cheek Stick in Ice Shimmer*
The third product to make it into my February 2017 favourites is the Soap and Glory Glow All Out Highlight and Sculpt Cheek Stick in Ice Shimmer. Now, this isn’t the first time I have mentioned this product on my blog. This product made it into my favourites back in July 2016 but once again, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it definitely deserved another mention. This highlighting stick works perfectly at illuminating the skin and making everything appear brighter. It has a kind of neutral tone to it which works marvellously. I’m definitely going to have to post a full review of this product soon because it is something I highly recommend checking out.
Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser*
And lastly to make it into my February 2016 favourites is the Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser. Now I know I’ve mentioned this moisturiser time and time again on my blog but seriously, it is a game changer. This thick moisturising cream works miracles on dry skin. As previously mentioned in this post I have been quite unwell over the past month. Something I experienced when I was unwell was dry skin around my nose and mouth area. Instead of leaving these areas like I normally would I decided to pop some Astral onto these areas.
Normally when I am unwell and get dry skin around my nose and mouth it cracks and stays scabby for a while, even after I recover from being sick. This not only becomes painful, it also looks terrible. I found by using Astral my dryness rapidly cleared up and I wasn’t left with sore crusty scabs. So there you have it, once again, Astral saves the day.
