AD: Maximising My Morning With Shreddies

Recently I was contacted by the lovely people at Shreddies. The people over at Shreddies told me about some research they’d been carrying out. They found that only 24% of people surveyed always have breakfast. They also found that 41% of people say they don’t make the most of their mornings while 54% would like to do more with their mornings. I for one am guilty of skipping breakfast from time to time and I certainly would like to do more with my mornings. So Shreddies set me a challenge.

High in protein and fibre, low in saturated fat & made with no artificial colours or flavours

I was very kindly sent a hamper containing a box of Shreddies MAX Protein Crunchy Oat Granola with Shreddies Pieces and a box of Shreddies MAX Protein Crunchy Cranberry and Oat Granola with Shreddies Pieces. Shreddies MAX is a new granola on the market and is a combination of crunchy oats and malty Shreddies pieces. Each box has an RRP of £2.49 which makes each bowl just 31p. Shreddies MAX are not only a good source of protein, they are also high in fibre, low in saturated fat and made with no artificial colours or flavours. Shreddies MAX are also said to help make the most of your morning, so I put that claim to the test.

Tasty and filling granola

When it comes to cereal and granola I have been known to be quite picky and particular about what I like and what I don’t like. However, Shreddies MAX are definitely a winner for me. If you like delicious crunchy granola, this is definitely something worth checking out. When it comes to the Cranberry flavour these are by far my favourite. The fruity flavour comes through really well but at the same time, they aren’t sickly sweet like some flavoured granolas that I have tried.

When it comes to the plain crunchy granola these make a nice change, especially when topped with yoghurt and fresh fruit. I love the addition of Shreddies in the granola as I feel like it adds a different and interesting texture and flavour to the cereal. Another thing definitely worth pointing out is that I personally found this granola to be really rather filling. With some cereals, I find that around half and hour after eating I feel peckish again. However, with Shreddies MAX they kept me feeling completely full up until lunch time.

How I maximised my morning with Shreddies

The real question, though, how did I get on with my challenge? Well, I think it is safe to say that I got on fantastically. Instead of spending my morning in bed or slouched on the couch I spent it being very productive. During my morning I managed to clear out my whole house. As some of you will know Marc and I are looking to buy our first home. Ideally, we are looking for somewhere smaller than the place that we rent now. This means that we need to get rid of a lot of things. This is something I’ve personally been putting off for quite a while.

So I had my bowl of Shreddies MAX and got started on the task. I decided to take a minimalistic approach. I only kept things absolutely necessary or things we genuinely love and cannot part with. The task wasn’t quick. However, after having my bowl of Shreddies MAX I found they kept my hunger at bay throughout the whole task. Eventually, I completed my little mission and I definitely did more with my morning than I usually would.

Have you tried Shreddies MAX?

This sounds great – I’m a massive granola fan so any with added protein would get a thumbs up from me 🙂

This cereal sounds incredible! I’ve been doing my food shopping online for a couple of weeks now, so I haven’t seen these in store yet, but when I go food shopping tomorrow I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out
