October 2016 Favourites
W7 Eye Want It Eyeshadow Collection
The first product to make it into my October 2016 favourites is the W7 Eye Want It Eyeshadow Collection. This is basically an eyeshadow palette that comes housed in tin packaging and in addition, contains nine very natural eyeshadows. Inside the palette is a selection of plums, nudes and browns. The shade selection is right up my street and over the past month I’ve been experimenting with each shade. The shadows are soft, vary in finish and have good pigmentation. The only issue I have with the palette is that the eyeshadows produce a little bit of fallout. Apart from that, this affordable natural eyeshadow palette is pretty good. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review of this palette as I will be sharing my more in-depth thoughts in the near future.
Bourjois 24H Color Edition Cream to Powder Eyeshadow in Prune Nocturne
The second product to make it into my October 2016 favourites is the Bourjois 24H Color Edition Cream to Powder Eyeshadow in Prune Nocturne. I actually mentioned this product recently in my cream eyeshadows worth checking out blog post. I also mentioned it in my makeup products for Halloween post. This product is basically a cream eyeshadow that sets to a smooth and silky powder finish. The shade is a gorgeous cranberry colour that has beautiful red and brown tones running throughout. The shade screams out Autumn and Winter which is probably one of the reasons why I’ve been so obsessed with it lately.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil*
The third product to make it into my October 2016 favourites is The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil. I recently mentioned this in my blog post all about The Body Shop Tea Tree Range. This little bottle of oil is ideal for treating and preventing spots and breakouts. I’m not going to lie to you, the product isn’t exactly exciting however, it is very effective and one of those staple products in my skincare collection. Another thing that I love about the product is the fact that only a tiny amount is needed for effective results. This is because the product is super concentrated and also one of the purest forms of Tea Tree oil.
Milani Baked Blush in Red Vino
And finally, to make it into my October 2016 favourite is the Milani Baked Blush in Red Vino. I recently mentioned this product in my Autumn makeup blog post. First of all, despite being quite warm toned, when applied lightly I can get it to work beautifully with my pale cool toned complexion. Red Vino is a deep red packed full of gold sparkle. This product is perfect for this time of year, much like the Bourjois eyeshadow. When applied lightly I can achieve a beautiful pinch of colour without looking too bold or unnatural. I also think this blush would look amazing on those with beautiful dark skin and on those with warm-toned complexions.
