2 Excellent Thierry Mugler Alien Dupes For Under £3.50?

One of my absolute all-time favourite fragrances is Thierry Mugler Alien. Launched back in 2005 Alien certainly isn’t new but it is for sure is a very popular scent. The fragrance is a jasmine and amber medley with woody notes running throughout. It’s incredibly addictive and not only has enormous scent throw, but it also lasts amazingly well. I think if I had to choose one perfume to wear for the rest of my life I would for sure choose Alien.

In terms of wear, I’d definitely say Alien is more of an evening scent because of its power and concentrated scent but there certainly isn’t anything stopping you from spraying it whenever and wherever you want. The downside to Alien? The price. It’s pretty expensive and it is rare that it comes on offer or sale. I use my bottle sparingly to make it last as long as possible. Plus the fact that one squirt goes a long way really helps. However, as someone who likes to save money, I recently set myself a challenge, to find affordable Thierry Mugler Alien dupes.

Two Thierry Mugler Alien dupes for under £3.50

Genuinely I didn’t think I’d ever come across anything even close to the epic fragrance but I came across two very, very close scents. The first of the two is Stars by Milton Lloyd. I actually mentioned this in my affordable perfume dupes post recently. Stars is a fragrance that smells like Alien. It isn’t exactly the same but pretty darn close. The scent throw and longevity aren’t nearly as impressive but the actual smell is similar. It does smell quite strongly of alcohol when first sprayed but once it settles, it’s absolutely fine. That all being said, the Alien dupe will set you back just £2.99 so even taking into account it’s somewhat short wear time, it still isn’t that bad.

The second of the Thierry Mugler Alien dupes I’ve discovered? Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist from Superdrug. At £3.49 it’s more expensive than Milton Lloyd’s offering but it is still incredibly affordable. I first discovered this a while back but for a long time it was out of stock and I wasn’t sure if it was going to be available again. I emailed Superdrug and they didn’t really know the status of the product as there was some availability issue from the manufacturer. However, thankfully it’s now back. Blossom is a fresh rose and jasmine medley that smells wonderful and very identical to Alien indeed.

Layering Lab’s wins in my eyes

If I had to pick a favourite out of the two dupes I’d definitely go with the Layering Lab Blossom Spray. I just feel like it smells closer to Alien and its lasting power is far greater than Stars. Not only that, it doesn’t seem to have that strong alcohol scent when first sprayed. It’s just that smidgen better. Obviously Alien remains the superior fragrance when compare to the dupes but if you’re after something more affordable, the two I’ve mentioned are excellent options.
