Hasn’t the past month flown over? Here’s what I’ve been loving during the month of August…
Chit Chat Juicy Lipstick in the shade Damson
Now I picked this beauty up for the home of bargains, Poundland. Now I normally just ignore all the Chit Chat cosmetics as they tend to well, look a bit rubbish but recently I’ve noticed they have some products that are meant to be half decent dupes for high end products, such as a highlighter that is identical to Benefit’s High Beam and of course the lipstick that I picked up which looks much like the Clinique Chubby Sticks. I can’t really compare them with the more expensive products as I don’t own them, but I can give you my opinion on the chirpy cheap products. So basically, the Chit Chat lipstick has quickly became a favourite of mine. I love the shade, the texture and how it looks on my lips. It has surprisingly great pigmentation, especially for the mere price of £1. I highly recommend having a look at the Juicy Lipsticks if you ever find yourself in Poundland.
YSL Shocking Mascara
I received this sample from What’s In My Handbag which of course was free. I love the way it makes my lashes look, long and thick without making them look clumped together. I think once I use up the sample I’ll genuinely be a little gutted inside as I do not fancy paying a whopping £23.00 for a mascara, no matter how fantastic it is.
Veil Toning Lotion and Skin Freshener
Now I’m a big fan of the Veil Cover Cream as it seems to cover everything and another thing I’m a fan of is their Toning lotion. Personally I find it a good toner but that’s not what I’ve been using it for. I’ve been using it as a make up mist as I recently ran out of my ELF Studio Makeup Mist and Set. It works really well at taking away the powdery-ness of my make up and smells just like Turkish delight, probably due to the fact that it contains Rose Water.
MUA Pro Baked Trio Eyeshadow in the shade Innocence
Now I’ve mentioned my love for these little palettes of amazingness before but I couldn’t help giving it a little mention. I find the colours super easy to blend, have great pigmentation and you get a fair bit of product too. Although the shadows are a bit on the dusty side, I can live with that as the trio of nudes gives my eyes a neutral, yet classy look.
So that’s what I’ve been loving this August.
