Want to know what I thought of the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker gloss in Punch Bowl?
What Soap and Glory Say
Fasten your seatbelts! It’s Super-Colour™ Sexy Mother Pucker™ with SUPERFILL™ Lip Plumping Spheres and LIPSWELL™ Volume Boost Technology.
Britain’s hottest selling lip plumping gloss, Soap & Glory’s bestselling Original Formula SEXY MOTHER PUCKER includes ingenious PLUMPING MICROSPHERES that explode in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with water (they’re like tiny, dehydrated little sponges that expand when they get wet) and an exclusive microcirculation-stimulating extract to visibly enhance lip volume. Amazing. Addictive.
Sexy Mother Pucker retails at £9.00 for 7ml of product and is available at Boots.
It’s your typical lipgloss tube with a doe foot applicator. I must admit the gorgeous font really does make this product cute and I love the addition of the quirky name.
I’ll be totally honest here, I don’t like Sexy Mother Pucker. As beautiful as the bright pink colour is, as yummy as the scent smells and as quirky and cute as the packaging is, I simply can’t love this product due to the formula. I found it way too sticky, so much so that when applying it uncomfortably dragged my lips and once on, I found my hair sticking to it which really wasn’t a good look. That isn’t all, I found the plumping sensation very painful, it was an identical feeling to the one I get when I eat Kiwi (I’m allergic to the delicious fruit as it makes my lips painfully swell which can cause me to look like a more feminine Pete Burns, boohoo) Sure it did a great job at making the lips look fuller, but for me, it really hurt, to the point where I had to run and wash it off as I really couldn’t stand the feeling any longer.
- Gorgeous colour
- Delicious chocolatey scent
- Cute packaging and quirky name
- Plumps up lips well
- Pretty decent pigmentation for a gloss
- Super duper sticky
- Can cause a painful reaction
I’m not a fan. Simple as pie. I found Sexy Mother Pucker way too sticky for my liking and the plumping sensation was way too intense. I also think that this is a tad over priced. Having said that, it does make the lips look fuller, is a gorgeous shade, smells amazing and comes housed in cute packaging with the great quirky name scribbled across is. I guess SMP just wasn’t for me as I won’t be repurchasing this shade or any others in the range. Sorry Soap and Glory!
