My Thoughts
This cream is heavenly. It’s thick, creamy and moisturising. Everything I like in a cream. When applied it sinks in well and doesn’t leave a horrible sticky layer on the skin. Instead, it leaves skin soft, hydrated and keeps dry skin under control. The smell you ask? Well it’s very sweet and strong. I personally love it but I know a lot of people would find the scent overpowering and sickly. You can definitely smell the almonds that the cream contains as well as vanilla. It smells a lot like food. To me, it has a strong resemblance of Bakewell Tart. Once on the skin the smell does tend to linger for a while which makes me want to dig in to a delicious sweet treat. I think this product is definitely one you should have a sniff of in store before buying.
Pros
  • Reasonably priced
  • Quirky packaging
  • Smells delicious
  • Nice and moisturising – great for dry skin
  • Sinks in well

Cons
  • Some may find the smell overpowering

Overall
I really enjoy using this cream. It’s reasonably priced, sinks in well, smells unreal, gives the skin a good moisturising and comes housed in adorable packaging. To me it’s a winner, however, I do recommend giving this a sniff in store if you can as the smell is a big part of the product and if you don’t like it, it could ruin the whole experience of Smoothie Star for you.
