Review | Bomb Cosmetics Blackcurrant Body Polish
A little while back I
did a review of Bomb Cosmetics Butter Berry Blaster. Basically I didn’t get on with the product mainly as it stained my bath. Anyway
a week or so later Bomb Cosmetics tweeted me to say how sorry they were and
that the bath bomb shouldn’t have stained my bath. They also said they’d like
to send me a couple of products to make up for it. A few days later I received this,
the Blackcurrant Body Polish and the Pink Rhubarb and Blackberry Candle (I’ll
also be reviewing this soon) I’d just like to say that Bomb Cosmetics have top notch
customer service and thought it was very generous of them to send me the
products, so a big thank you to them. Now, onto the review.

The Bomb Cosmetics Blackcurrant Body Polish retails at £7.99 for 365ml and is available to purchase on the Bomb
Cosmetics website.

The scrub comes
packaged in a big, purple tub that has a very pretty design on it. It keeps the
product safe and secure.

My thoughts
This scrub smells
incredible, very similar to purple starbursts which happen to be my favourite.
I love the smell so much I mentioned in my Battle
Of The Body Scrubs
post that I thought the Blackcurrant Body Polish was the
best scented scrub. Yup, it’s that good. In the tub, the scrub looks very dry
and lacking in moisture, but once rubbed into skin, it melts and has a texture
similar to a thick body butter and a little goes a very long way. The exfoliator gets rid of dead, flaky skin
well but does so gently and also cleans the skin nicely due to it’s great foaming
ability. Once rinsed off, the skin feels squeaky clean and a little dry so I
really recommend applying a thick moisturiser afterwards, just to keep skin
nice and soft.
  • Purse friendly
  • Pretty packaging
  • A little goes a long way
  • Smells incredible
  • Very gentle
  • Has a body butter like texture
  • Cleans the skin well
  • Can leave skin feeling a little dry so a moisturiser is
    essential for me
I really like this
scrub and LOVE it’s scent. I think it’s very reasonably priced and is sure to
last me a while as a little goes a long way and you get a generous amount of
product in the pretty purple tub. I do however think the scrub can leave skin
feeling a little dry due to it’s fantastic cleaning ability so I highly
recommend teaming it up with a decent moisturiser.
Have you tried any of the Bomb Cosmetics body polishes?
