What Nourish say
“This unique cream complex with properties to control sebum, restore the skin’s natural barrier and cause equilibirum. 89% Organic.”
The Nourish Balance Essential Moisturiser retails at £14.95 for 50ml and is available to buy on the Nourish website. The moisturiser also comes in the Balance Mini Kit which is also available on the Nourish website and retails at £24.95 for a 15ml of the Balance Essential Moisturiser, 50ml of the Balance Detoxifying Cleanser, 50ml of the Balance Refining Toning Mist and 15ml of the Balance Nutritious Peptide Serum.
I have the moisturiser from the Balance Mini Kit which comes in a small weighty jar which feels good quality and can easily be popped in your handbag if say, you were going for an overnight stay.

 My thoughts
So the entire Balance range is aimed at those with combination skin, which I have and hate. I get quite dry, flaky, dehydrated cheeks and a very oily, shiny chin so finding a product to tackle both can be quite a difficult task, so much so that I often end up using two different moisturisers to tackle the problem but when I got sent the Nourish Balance Mini Kit, I couldn’t wait to try out the Essential Moisturiser to see what it could do to my skin. When applied, the first thing you notice is the gorgeous apple scent that the Balance range is fragranced with. It’s not artificial smelling but like freshly cut apples. It smells delicious. When massaged in, the cream takes literally no time to absorb into skin and does a great job at keeping oil at bay and oily areas matte. You can even feel the moisturiser tone your skin which for my oily areas is absolutely fantastic, but for my dry areas, it isn’t the best. I found the moisturiser to actually accentuate my dry areas and make my face feel very stiff and tight, similar to the sensation you get when sporting a clay setting mask, but not quite as extreme. I will say you need a teeny tiny bit of this stuff as a little goes a long way so this small pot is sure to last me a while, even more so as I’ll only be using it on oily areas of my face.
  • Small packaging, great if you’re going away overnight and have little space

  • 89% Organic
  • Tones skin
  • Absorbs fast
  • A little goes a long way

  • Accentuates dry areas
  • Makes the skin feel very tight and stiff

Review | Nourish Balance Essential Moisturiser
This moisturiser is brilliant for my oily areas. It keeps them matte and toned. However, I will not be using this on my dry areas as I found it seemed to make them drier than before which defeats the object of a moisturiser really.
