Want to know my thoughts on the Baker Days Letterbox Cake?
What Baker Days say
“Small enough to slip through a letterbox, but large enough to celebrate the biggest occasions”
Price
I received a chocolate chip sponge letterbox cake with my own design on it which retails at £16.99 and is available to purchase on the Baker Days website.
Packaging
The cake came in a cute tin which protected it really, really well, plus it’s reusable which makes it even better.
My thoughts
First things first, when the cake came through my letterbox and landed on my doorstep, I was a little hesitant to open it up as I had a fear that it would have been totally smashed but once I lifted the lid off it I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the cute tin, the cake was all in tact and in all honestly I was pretty impressed with the lovely printed design so much so that I didn’t want to cut the cake! Once I’d boiled the kettle I cut the cake into quarters and dished it out to the family who were very willing to give the cake a thorough testing. It’s safe to say the cake went down a treat! It was moist, sweet and delicious, everything I’d want in a cake and a quarter was more than enough for a sweet fix.
Pros
- Comes in a reusable tin which protects the cake really well
- Great if you’re in need of a last minute present
- Fab printed design
- Delicious
Cons
- None
Overall
I thought the cake was delicious and think it would be a great last minute present for a loved one. Plus, then cake even cake with balloons and a party blower which I must admit, I had quite a bit of fun with!
