Metique 10% Blended Tea Tree Oil*
For me Tea Tree Oil is essential in my skincare routine. Over the past couple of years I had noticed a few big hard lumps developing under my skin, particularly on my chin which soon became very painful and irritating. The odd thing was that they never sort of surfaced into normal spots but stayed for months, sometimes going down but always flaring back up every few weeks. Anyway, I was on the combined pill but I was having a bit of bother when it came to my migraines as it seemed to trigger the painful headaches and make them much worse so I went back to the doctors and she swapped me to the mini pill which amazingly seemed to miraculously stop my migraines but my spots got much worse and now cover 99% of my chin and are starting to develop on my neck so back to the surgery I went. Turns out it’s called Cystic Acne and I was told it’s something caused by the hormone in the mini pill which is also in the combined pill and the only reason the spots weren’t so severe with the other pill was because the additional hormone was sort of keeping the Acne under control. I’ve been told that there is practically nothing I can do other than using Benzoyl Peroxide cream on the affected areas, keeping my skin clean and not be tempted to try and squeeze the very sore areas. Although the cream I’ve been recommended is good, I really like to use Tea Tree Oil as well, particularly the Metique 10% Blended Tea Tree Oil because I find it really helps a lot with the redness and inflammation and when combined with the cream, it helps to dry up the areas quicker and of course keep them nice and clean as it has fab antiseptic properties. Soap and Glory Smooth Operator Lip Balm*
Next up we have the Soap and Glory Smooth Operator Lip Balm. What I really like about this is that it really helps to hydrate and keep the lips soft which for me is much needed now that the weather is becoming much colder. Another thing I really like is that is doesn’t have that greasy petroleum texture that I find a lot of balms on the market seem to have, it has more of a buttery, melting texture which is much more pleasant and with the addition of the shea butter scent, makes it a lovely product to use. The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream
Last but not least is The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream. I may only be 19 years old and do not yet have any wrinkles (touch wood), I do get quite puffy eyes due to lack of sleep so I’m always trying to tackle them with all sorts of lotions and potions but after trying out many different products, I always find this beauty works best. I pop a little on under each eye right before bed and each time I use it, I notice I wake up with very noticeably less puffy eyes. In terms of texture it is very silky and sinks in well with my favourite ring finger patting motion and is super gentle which is key with this type of product.
