Just Desserts Body Custard Chocolate Souffle – 99p for 250ml
I purchased this a little while back from good old Fragrance Direct and must admit when I ordered it, I wasn’t expecting much. At 99p I knew it wouldn’t be a miracle product and in total honesty I only purchased this because of food like scent and you know what? It’s not bad. The texture is quite wet, easy to apply and sinks in fairly well without you feeling horrible and sticky. You also only need to use a little as it spreads nicely without you having to use tons and tons of the stuff. As for it’s moisturising ability, it’s not amazing but it softens the skin nicely. Also, if you’re a fan of chocolate mousse, you’ll probably love this as it really does smell like what it says on the tin or in this case, tub. The scent also lingers well but I find it unfortunately can become a little sickly. To me, this is the best budget body butter.
Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream – £10.50 for 300ml*
Oh my, oh my. Smoothie Star is just, heavenly. It’s thick, creamy, moisturising, sinks in well and keeps dry skin under control but what I really love about it, is the scent. It’s very much like Bakewell Tart, very almond and vanilla like. I personally don’t like the taste of Bakewell Tart, but I am a fan of the scent (is that odd?) The scent is very food like and lingers on the skin well which makes me want to devour a cake or two. Although I love it, I would highly recommend giving it a good old sniff before you buy it if you can as although it’s amazing, it is quite pungent and not to everyone’s taste. To me, this is the best scented body butter. Here, you can read my full review of the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream.
Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter – £10.50 for 300ml
If you’re after a good moisturising body butter, look no further. The Righteous Butter is a thick butter that does an excellent job at keeping the skin soft and flake free. It’s not the cheapest on the market nor is it the most expensive. To me, this is the best moisturising body butter.
Ellovi Butter – $26.00 for 104ml*
If you’re after a natural, effective, cruelty free butter, this is one I’d highly recommend. The Ellovi Butter is a thick cream than melts nicely into an oily substance which is perfect for massaging. It contains just 6 ingredients, Coconut, Macadamia Nut, Marula Nut, Hemp Seed, Shea and Organic Corn Starch. It’s also free from preservatives as it doesn’t require any as it’s super concentrated and doesn’t contain any water. Of course this isn’t the cheapest product but it’s great to use, hence why to me, this is the best luxury body butter. Here, you can read my full review of the Ellovi butter.
Mandara Spa Amber Heaven Nourishing Body Butter – £10.50 for 350ml*
Last but not least is the Mandara Spa Amber Heaven Nourishing Body Butter. It’s actually quite similar to the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream but the scent is more of a relaxing perfume fragrance with sandalwood patchouli and ylang ylang rather than smelling foodie like Smoothie Star. The Amber Heaven Nourishing Body Butter is packed full of shea and mango butters and also contains sweet almond oil and cocoa butter. There’s no denying that it is fab at moisturising and keeping the skin soft. To me, this is the best spa at home body butter.
