Barry M Nail Paints
I actually got these in a separate order after I’d read on an online forum that the Barry M nail paints and other products were on 3 for 2 however, people reported a glitch on the Superdrug site where if you added a certain amount of polishes and other selected goods, you’d activate some offer and get a ridiculous discount. I first added 9 into my basket and it showed the correct price with the offer, I took one out of my basket and boom, the glitch activated. Instead of paying £28.92 (the original price) the polishes went down to £14.96 when in theory with the 3 for 2 offer they should have come to £22.94. So the polishes worked out at just £1.87 each. Bargain eh!? Although when I first payed for my goodies I was super chuffed, I honestly thought once Superdrug spotted the error they’d cancel the order as I know a lot of people took advantage of it however, they didn’t and my parcel arrived safe and sound. So the shades from the Royal Glitter Collection were Pink Princess, a gold toned pink that retails at £3.99. Purple Countess, a dark purple packed full of pink and gold glitter that retails at £3.99. Finally from the collection I got White Pearl Lady, a shimmery white glitter which again retails at £3.99. Next up I got a Gelly Hi-Shine Polish in the shade Greenberry which is a truly stunningly bright turquoise that retails at £3.99. I also picked up a couple of their glitters, Yellow Topaz Glitter which is a mix of various size gold and holographic glitters that retails at £2.99. I also got Pink Sapphire Glitter which is a mix of purple, pink and holographic glitter hex, bar and micro glitter. It’s a super fun shade and retails at £2.99. I then got myself Atlantic Road, a sky blue textured polish that retails at £3.99. Last but not least I picked up the Pink Glitter 50th Superdrug Birthday polish which is a hot pink packed full of white, purple and pink hex glitters that retails at £2.99.
Yup, I purchased more Makeup Revolution goodies. This time I opted for a couple of their lip gloss tubes. The shades I got were Too Shy, a utterly gorgeous baby pink that is jam packed full of gold glitter. I’m already obsessed with it and have been popping it over the top of my lippy ever since I got it. The other shade I opted for was Baby Try, a surprisingly strongly pigmented hot pink which looks smashing on. Both shades get a big thumbs up from me so no doubt I’ll get some reviews up at some point.
Yup, I got more One Direction lipsticks. After trying Rock Me and taking a liking to it, I thought it was about time to check out the other shades. I got Moments, a shimmery pink toned nude. Be Mine, a pink toned red that has a sort of sheen to it. And last but not least, I Wish, a blue toned bubblegum pink. I did actually aim to get all of the shades however, the shade that I am missing, I Want appears to have totally disappeared off the Superdrug website so sadly I couldn’t get it but next time I pop into Town I’ll be checking in store to see if they have it in stock.
Superdrug Coconut Oil – £2.29
Recently I’ve heard so, so many people rave about Coconut Oil. I’ve heard it’s a fab product for both the skin and hair. At the moment I suffer from quite dry skin on my feet so I’m excited to see how well it’ll work. I’m also looking forward to trying it out of my hair to see just how conditioning it is.
Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask – £2.59
In the past I’ve tried just one Superdrug face mask and in all honesty it didn’t do it for me as it caused a bit of a stinging sensation on my cheeks but when I spotted the Aloe Vera, de-stressing mud mask, I got pretty excited as it sounded like a perfect product for combination skin so into my virtual basket it went. Plus the fact that it has been labelled as de-stressing sold it to me more! Expect a review on this in the future.
So am much as I love my very nearly all gone Rimmel Stay Matte powder, I fancied a bit of a change so opted for a different affordable powder. NYC are a brand I have a couple of products from and I really quite like them so I decided to get their very cheap and purse friendly Translucent pressed powder. Of course I’m not expecting it to be the best powder I’ve ever tried but it’ll be interesting to see how well it performs.
