Want to know my thoughts on the Imperial Leather Foamburst Bewitching Blackberry and Wild Fig + Bracing Bergamot and Sea Minerals?
Today I thought I’d share a review of the Imperial Leather Foamburst Body Washes in Bewitching Blackberry and Wild Fig plus Bracing Bergamot and Sea Minerals which are part of the seven variation newly relaunched range from the popular bath and shower product brand.
Both washes are fairly similar in terms of formula but obviously their scents differ. Bewitching Blackberry and Wild Fig is a very sweet, feminine, berry like scent that is very strong and by far my favourite of the two. Bracing Bergamot and Sea Minerals on the other hand is much more masculine smelling, quite a relaxing scent that reminds me a lot of calming bath salts. Although it’s not my favourite of the two, I do enjoy using it after long, stressful days to really ease my muscles and chillax.
In terms of the formulation of the body washes, once released from the can you’re greeted with a coloured gel that almost instantly froths and transforms into a super creamy, bubbly lather. As you blend and rub the wash over your skin the scent is released further and becomes more noticeable which is pure bliss when you’re in the shower or the tub. Even after washing and drying, the scents linger nicely on the skin which is always a plus in my eyes. The washes come securely packed inside metal spray cans. There’s something strangely satisfying about spraying the washes although you do have to be careful to try and control the amount that is released as you really only need a tiny bit to cleanse a large area of the body. Imperial Leather claim that you can get up to 40 washes out of each can which I’d probably agree with, given you don’t go crazy when dispensing the product. The packaging is also pretty eye catching with its classy, sleek, luxurious black and coloured combo which gives the product an expensive look, despite each can retailing at just £2.99 for 200ml.
Do the washes do what they’re suppose to i.e cleanse and wash the skin? They certainly do. They work nicely at cleansing the skin and leave it feeling beyond clean. Because of this the skin can feel dry which is understandable but as someone who smothers themselves in body butter and lotion after a good shower or bath, I don’t really find this a problem but if you don’t have a body moisturising step in your routine, you may find this an issue and that you require some extra hydration for your skin. It’s also worth mentioning that the Foambursts double up as shaving foam so essentially you have a two in one product. So if you’re ever put off by the scent of generic foam, these are the way to go.
For the price and scent alone I think these washes are definitely worth looking into. There are a further five scents in the range including Sweet Vanilla and Cherry Blossom, Moisturising Honey and Almond Milk (next on my list to try) Uplifting Lime and Grapefruit, Rebalancing Green Tea and Jasmine and Spicy Ginger and Orange so I guess there’s a scent for everyone.
