Inner Me Diaries Challenge | Week 5

Want to hear how I got on in week 5 of the Inner Me Diaries Challenge?
Inner Me Diaries Challenge | Week 5

I do apologise for this post going up a tad later than usual, I’ve not been too grand over the past week or so and because of this my scheduling sort of went out of the window as I was focusing more on getting better than anything else so I hope you all understand. I am however feeling a little better now so fingers crossed everything will be back to normal as of today.
For those of you who have been reading this little series that I have had going on, you’ll be all clued up about the brand and what the tablets are for. If not, be sure to check out week 1week 2week 3 and week 4. To recap, there are four forms of tablet which you take everyday. There is a tailored multivitamin and mineral tablet which is said to be packed full of vitamins and minerals for virtually all functions of the human body from immune function to muscular and circulatory function. It is also said to provide essential multi nutrients including energy releasing Vitamin B. There is also an Omega 3 tablet which is basically pure fish oil which contains fatty acids to keep healthy levels in our bodies.  Then we have the Beauty Capsule, a small tablet said to improve the skin, hair and nails. It contains Silica from Bamboo Extract and Collagen. Finally there is the Vitamin D3 2500iu Tablet. This obviously contains Vitamin D which is great for the bones and the teeth. For a month supply pack they retail at £14.00 and are available to purchase on the Inner Me website and in Holland and Barrett Stores. Also, if you are thinking about purchasing on their website, be sure to use the code RaspberryK when at the checkout when you buy a months supply of Daily 4 Me (The Younger Years) as you’ll receive another months supply free!
Now, when I first started the challenge I was pretty impressed by the increase in my energy levels as I felt more productive and much more full of beans and although this increased through the rest of the challenge, for week 5, I didn’t feel so great. BUT I’ve been very poorly so this is probably why I’ve been feeling so drained and yucky (at one point the doctor thought it could be gallstones or even an appendicitis as I was in absolute agony, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life to be honest) Because I’ve been unwell, the majority of my time has been spent sleeping and resting but like a trooper I carried on taking the tablets. Despite being really not well, for the first time in a long time I have noticed my skin looks really, really clear. I tend to suffer from cystic acne (I get this mainly on my chin and on my shoulders, back and chest, it is basically a nasty form of acne which causes the pores to become blocked, inflamed and often infected. It is very painful at times, especially when I end up with big boil like spots which are extremely sore. Many people think it is caused by being dirty and having a bad diet, this is not the cause. However, some of the things that do cause it are hormonal changes such at puberty, that time of the month, pregnancy, birth control and stress. Another thing that can cause it is greasy cosmetics, cleansers, lotions and even clothing. Another thing is high levels of humidity and sweating and even some drugs and chemicals can be a factor at causing it. At times it can get really quite red and looks quite frankly, horrid. Because of this I get really quite self conscious and rely on camouflage cream to boost my confidence. This is also one of the reasons why I don’t tend to post pictures of myself wearing products.) Anyway, like I said, my skin has been looking really quite clear but it is good to keep in mind that my acne does tend to flare up every so often so my bet is that it will sadly return in the near future but for now, I shall be enjoying my skin (Weird, I know) For improvement of everything else, I honestly have not noticed any change. My hair is the same and if you read the last Inner Me Diaries Challenge post, you’ll know that I did notice my nails were looking nice and shiny and had a good bit of length to them. Well I’m sad to say they’re back to normal. I’m not sure if the effect has worn off or it has something to do with me being unwell but they are definitely back to their old selves, much to my disappointment.
Overall, although my nails are back to normal and I have not noticed any improvement with my hair, I am really happy with the condition that my skin is in as it is not only less red and painful, but I feel more confident in myself. Of course this may be a coincidence and not down to the tablets at all, but I happy nevertheless.
