Want to hear about the Gemporia Rainbow Moonstone Earrings?
Not heard of Gemporia? Well it is a site which offers a wide range of jewellery including a variety of different gemstones. The company believe that jewellery should not cost the Earth nor should it be mass produced or run of the mill. They however do believe that the jewellery should have a legacy for those who wear it as well as to those who help make it. Because of this the company only use genuine gemstones as well as precious metals to make their jewellery in limited runs. It is also why they work closely with the Equal World Foundation to aid communities where gemstones are found, educating them and supporting them so they can grow as they do. The companies main aims are to be ethical, inspiring and of course original. The company is also lead by husband and wife duo, Steve and Sarah Bennett. Steve is actually the man who set up the well known channel that is Gems TV. He also has an extensive knowledge of gemstones and a passion for exploration. Because of this and Sarah setting the jewellery direction, he is able to concentrate all his efforts on gem hunting to ensure traceability and quality of every stone used by Gemporia. Sarah, Steve’s wife is the designer in the business. She originally started out in fashion and ventured into designing accessories which allowed her to find her niche in jewellery design. So, whilst Steve is traveling the world hunting for gemstones, Sarah gets inspired by the architecture, landscapes, fashion and people on her travels. She then sketches her ideas into a notebook which is how many of her designs start life.
I was ever so kindly sent a pair of the Rainbow Moonstone Earrings from Gemporia and I have to say, they are lovely. I’m personally not normally a fan of gold coloured jewellery unless it is white gold as I am more of a Silver kind of girl. Having said that, I do like these. They’re actually from the Annabella collection which is a collection made up of genuine gemstone jewellery with a contemporary and stylish appeal. The earrings are gold plated sterling silver and feature 2.67cts of Rainbow Moonstone which are from India. They have a stud back complete with secure butterfly earring backs for a secure fit. They’re quite dainty and small in size but this is something I really like about them as they’re not too in your face and have a classy feel about them. Each earring contains three Rainbow Moonstone gems which sparkle wonderfully, especially under light or when the sunshine hits them. They retail at £20.00 which is a pretty reasonable in my opinion. I think the pair would make a great little gift for a loved one for either a Birthday or for Christmas.
