Want to hear my thoughts on the March 2015 Degustabox?
When it comes to Degustabox, I’ll be honest, over the past few months I’ve not been too impressed. Rather than force myself to write posts where I was finding it incredibly hard to find any positives, not to mention the fact that I wasn’t finding writing the posts enjoyable, I decided to not bother at all. However, when I received the March box I was really, really impressed. I’d even go as far as saying it is the best Degustabox I have ever received. Because it was Easter unsurprisingly inside the box there was quite a bit of chocolate which was certainly a good thing in my opinion. The first chocolate item I found was a Lindt Golden Bunny Story Book. This is kind of like a Christmas advent calendar but different. It contains a whole host of goodies such as mini Gold Bunnies and various other animal shaped chocolates. The second chocolate product I found was a Lindt Gold Bunny. I love these so I was very, very pleased to find one in my box. Also in my box was two bags of the Lindt Lindor Mini Eggs. I absolutely adore these melt in the mouth chocolates and it is no surprise that they didn’t last two seconds in my house. Other sweet treats I found in the box were the Bassetts Jelly Babies Berry Mix. I love jelly babies, particularly the berry flavours. It was almost as if they were made for me! Another bag of sweeties I received was the Maynards Sour Patch Kids. I’m not the biggest sour candy fan but there were surprisingly more-ish. Marc really liked the sour little jellies so I think we’ll definitely be repurchasing these at some point. For savoury goodies I received a bottle of the Original Bayrische BBQUE sauce. I’m not really a big BBQ sauce fan as I often find it is too sweet however, Marc is a huge fan so this will definitely get some good use at some point. I also got two packets of Pasquier Bacon Flavour Baked Bread Bites. These crunchy little bites were surprisingly full of flavour and perfect for packed lunches. I’d most certainly buy them again. Another savoury item I found in the box was the Kents Kitchen Spicy Szechuan Posh Noodles. Now I’ve not tried this yet but I do love my noodles so I’ll be surprised if I don’t enjoy it. At 222 calories I think it’d be a fantastic pot to take to work for my lunch. The final food item in my box was a huge bag of Jordan’s Lighter Granola with Strawberries and Blueberries. I have head over heels fallen in love with this stuff. It is so tasty and perfect for breakfast time. The only downside to it like a lot of low fat foods is that it is quite high when it comes to the sugar content so I do try to limit myself a little. For drinks I received the Juice Burst Skinny Mango and Lime Juice, the Juice Burst Cranberry Juice, the Crabbies Black Cherry Drink and the Crabbies Raspberry and Rhubarb Drink. As most of you know, I do not drink alcohol so the two Crabbies drinks went to my parents. As for the Juice Burst bottles, I thoroughly enjoyed both. I absolutely love Cranberry juice as well as anything Mango flavoured so these were great. They were both really refreshing and weren’t overly sweet which I liked. The final item in my box was the Natvia Natural Sources Sweetener. When it comes to my hot beverages I like them sweet and I normally opt for sugar but as we all know, sugar isn’t that great for us, especially when you’re consuming lots of it. For a while now I’ve been trying to cut my sugar intake down and a big weakness of mine is in tea. I’ve tried various different sweeteners over the years but I’ve never had much success as I find the majority leave a really weird taste in my mouth which I just can’t get away with. Natvia is one of the few brands I haven’t actually tried so I’m hoping it can convince me that sweetener is the way to go.
