Face masks are an essential part of my weekly Sunday pamper evening. They’re one of those things that I look forward to like a right sado. For a couple of months now I’ve been using a wonderful product. What is it? It is the Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Cleansing Face Mask. I absolutely love tea tree as I find it works wonders for my blemish prone skin and this mask certainly did the trick for me. The cleansing mask is a clay base rich with Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil as well as Macadamia oil which is designed to help soothe and calm the skin whereas the clay is designed to deeply cleanse. The mask also contains Papaya Extract to help exfoliate and brighten the skin. The mask is said to be suitable for all skin types and it is even meant to restore the skins natural PH balance. Now when it comes to applying this mask I always follow the directions. I simply cleanse my face and apply the mask evenly to my face and neck with my finger tips, much like I would with any other mask. Because the mask is clay based it does feel a little thick but it easily spreads on the skin. After 10 minutes I simply remove with nice warm water and follow up with a trusty moisturiser. But what is it actually like on the skin? Well as you can imagine it is quite strongly scented which may put people off but personally I don’t mind the tea tree fragrance so it wasn’t really a big deal. As soon as I applied the mask I felt the cooling and soothing effects of the mask on my skin and a very slight tingling sensation as it worked its magic. I absolutely love the sensation on my skin as it was so refreshing. Before I knew it the mask had set and was dry to touch, much like I suspected it would be with it having a clay formula. Australian Bodycare do recommend keeping the mask on for 10 minutes but I find it to dry quicker. When it came to removal I removed it with warm water and had the help on a soft flannel. Removal wasn’t what I would call difficult but it did take a little bit of pressure. Once it was all removed my skin was mega clean. Although it did also feel soft, I definitely recommend applying moisturiser straight away just to keep your skin in top condition. But the big question is, would I recommend this mask? The answer is a firm yes. I really enjoyed the sensation and I highly recommend to anyone who like me suffers from spot prone skin like myself. Oh and despite the £14.05 price tag I will no doubt be repurchasing this in the future.
Have you tried this face mask? What were your thoughts?
