When it comes to Vanilla candle scents I tend to steer clear as often I find it to be quite a sickly and nauseating fragrance so when I was sent the Airpure French Vanilla Jar Candle to review, I was a bit hesitant to actually light it. When it comes to Airpure, I really rate their wax tart type products but I have found their candles to be a little hit and miss. Anyway, I eventually lit the French Vanilla candle and popped it into my bathroom. Firstly, this candle is quite big but the scent is definitely not for you if you hate creamy aromas. Personally I did find the scent to be a little sickly but not as sickly as other vanilla candles I have tried. In terms of the throw, it wasn’t bad but at the same time it wasn’t amazing. The scent did a good job at making my small bathroom smell nice but when placed in a bigger room such as the living room, my beauty room or the bedroom, it kind of felt a little bit lost and undetectable. One good thing about the candle is that it is a very, very slow burner and lasts a long time. I began burning the candle back in the flat before we moved and now I am still burning it in our new place and it is only just hitting the half way mark which is pretty impressive to say the least. Would I run out to get a back up of this candle? I’m afraid not. I found it to be okay but not amazing. Would I spend my own money on French Vanilla? I’ll be totally honest with you all, I wouldn’t buy French Vanilla as I wasn’t that bowled over by the fragrance, however I would buy the same candle, just in a different scent as I felt the overall quality was good for a candle to keep in the bathroom.
