With Christmas fast approaching it appears that more and more brands are hopping on the advent calendar bandwagon. Quite frankly some of the advent calendars that I’ve spotted are absolutely ridiculous. I mean some of the calendars are well over £100 which is pretty darn ridiculous. Especially considering that many people are more than happy with their cheap, cheerful and simple one pound chocolate calendars. That being said I have always been intrigued by the many beauty advent calendars that are on offer. But not quite enough to get me to buy one.
However, this year I was very kindly sent one of the best advent calendars and that was the Soap and Glory Advent Calendar. Now I’m not just saying this because I’ve been sent the product for free. Soap and Glory genuinely is one of my all-time favourite brands. I love many of their products. Take the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara for example. I featured this product in my 5 eye makeup products that I absolutely love post because I have a genuine love for it. There’s also the Soap and Glory The Scrub Of Your Life that I’m a big fan of too. Those are just two of the many products from the brand that I adore. So I think it’s safe to say that I would quite happily spend my own hard earned cash on this calendar had I not been sent it.
The cutest advent calendar for any beauty lover
The Soap and Glory advent calendar its self is a huge folding book style calendar that is made of sturdy and eye-catching pink cardboard. Quite frankly, it’s freaking adorable. The calendar features 24 products, 23 minis and one full-size product. Inside you get two 8ml pods of Clean On Me, two 8ml pods of Rich and Foamous and two 8ml pods of Sugar Crush Body Wash. I really enjoy the Soap and Glory shower washes and always have a bottle in my shower so I was pleased to see these. Although they may be small, they’d be ideal for travelling especially when you don’t want to carry around a big bottle.
Also in the calendar is a 50ml tube of Scrub of Your Life. A 50ml Righteous Butter. A 50ml tube of Hand Food and a 50ml tube of Heel Genius. I enjoy all of these products so I was happy to see small but still generous versions in the Christmas product offering.
There aren’t just skincare and shower products in the Soap and Glory Advent Calendar, oh no. There are also quite a few makeup products inside too. You get five mini Crazy Sexy Kohl liners in the shades Smoulder, What a Night, Foil in Love, Grapevine and Cocoa Bean. Although I’m not a huge liner wearer, I’ve tried these Kohl liners before and liked the creaminess of them.
Lots of great mini lip products
Also in the calendar, you get two mini Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks in the shades Pink-A-Boo and Nudist. I’ve tried these before the packaging changed. I really enjoyed the product so I was happy to see two shades that I’ve not spotted before. As well as these two sticks you also receive a Sexy Mother Pucker Matte-Lip crayon in Choccoberry. This is a great Autumn Winter lip colour that has impressive pigmentation.
As well as the coloured crayon lip products you get three mini Pillow Plump glosses. These come in the shades Pinkwell, Clearvoyant and Nude in Town. I’ve not tried these glosses before. However, I’m loving the look of Clearvoyant. So no doubt I will be popping it over multiple lip colours over the festive period. As for the other makeup items in the Soap and Glory Advent Calendar, you get a 15ml mini One Heck of a Blot primer. I’m very excited to try out as it claims to have Pore-Shrink technology so I’m hoping that it gives me similar results to my beloved The Ordinary Silicone Primer.
And the last makeup product in the calendar is a full-size product. It is the Thick and Fast HD Mascara in Black. This just happens to be a product I use on a daily basis. So I was absolutely thrilled to spot a tube of this. And the final product you get is a teeny tiny adorable pair of mini tweezers. These are incredibly handy for throwing in your bag for on the go emergency use.
A fun beauty calendar full of top quality products
Out of all the beauty calendars, I’ve come across this definitely has to be one of my favourites. It’s full of products that I will use and even includes some current favourites. If you are thinking about getting yourself the Soap and Glory Beauty Advent Calendar, it is available from Boots in store and online. The product retails at £40 and is something I think would be appreciated by any Soap and Glory lover.
