One of the most affordable products available from LUSH Cosmetics over the festive period is the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb. This is a product that is small in size (it weighs approximately 60g) and it retails at the very affordable price of £1.95 which is certainly purse friendly. Now if you’ve tried the LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb, this is basically a festive version of that bath bomb. As you can see from the picture above, the bath bomb comes in the shape of a cute and dinky polar bear. In terms of the colour, the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb is prominently white in colour however, it does have a cute little brown nose. In terms of the scent, it has quite a rich, musky and vanilla like scent. It isn’t pungent or overwhelming, in fact I’d say it isn’t a fragrance that lingers on the skin and sadly it isn’t something that is detectable for long in the bath which is a shame. However, one thing I cannot fault the bath bomb on is its ability to soften the water and relax me after a long day. Despite the fact that the bath bomb does seem to fizz away rather quickly, it releases its white foam well which effectively softens the water which in turn helps to keep the skin feeling lovely and smooth. Now the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb can sometimes feel a little greasy and the droplets of cocoa butter and oil on top of the water do take a little getting use to but as the formula helps to moisturise the skin, this is something I can look past. As for the appearance, the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb leaves the water with a slightly cloudy appearance. If I’m totally honest, it isn’t the nicest looking effect and as mentioned previously, I found that the scent of the product isn’t one that is strong or long-lasting. Because of these two issues, I feel like the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb is a product that should be combined with another product. You could team this up with your favourite scented bath bomb that makes the water look nice and pretty but on that maybe isn’t the most moisturising. By combining the bath bomb with another, I just feel like you can really get the best of both worlds and experience the best bath time experience possible. Would I repurchase the LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb? Definitely, I really rate it for its moisturising properties, I just think that it works better when used along side another product that has a more prominent scent and a more visually appealing appearance.
