If you’re a berry fragrance fan and you enjoy your soaps, one product I recommend checking out this December is the LUSH Reindeer Rock Soap (link) If you’re a fan of the famous LUSH Comforter then I think you’ll enjoy this as it is said to have the same scent although I’ve not tried the Comforter (shocking, I know!) so I cannot confirm this. Anyway, the soap is a pinky red shade in colour, almost like a beautiful cranberry colour which is really fitting for this time of year. The soap also has a cute little silver Reindeer embossed on it which just adds that extra festive touch to the product. The scent is of course berry like. It is sweet and rich but it isn’t at all sickly or overwhelming but it is uplifting and I personally really love the smell of it. In terms of the quality of the soap, it creates a really thick lather which cleanses and cleans the skin well without being too harsh and it certainly doesn’t strip the skin of its natural oils, instead it is ever so slightly moisturising. It isn’t extremely moisturising but it does leave it feeling toned without being dry or uncomfortable. It’s also worth mentioning that this soap is Vegan so if you are someone who likes to use products free from all animal products, rest assured, this product is definitely suitable.
The only thing I will say is that I’m not 100% convinced that soap bars are the most hygienic of products to use. I’ve talked about this before but when it comes to soap bars, I never, ever use the whole bar in one go. I avoid this because the thought of bacteria sitting on the soap after each use makes my skin crawl and my stomach churn. To avoid this, I simply cut pieces off the soap every time I want to use it. I find this minimises waste and keeps my mind at rest over germs and bacteria. I know it sounds a little crazy but I’d rather avoid potential breakouts and bacteria related skin issues from occurring.
All in all, I think for £3.25 for 100g it is reasonably priced and something I would definitely repurchase. If you do want to get your hands on this, do be aware that it is limited edition for the festive season.
