May 2016 Favourites
Carex Fun Edition Bubble Gum Hand Gel* (link)
The first product to make it into my May 2016 Favourites is the Carex Fun Edition Bubble Gum Hand Gel. I actually did a full review of this product along with another scent in the range so if you are interested, be sure to read my Fun Hygiene: Carex Fun Edition Hand Gels post. Usually I find with hand gels and sanitizers they can be quite strongly scented with alcohol because that is often the main ingredient for killing bacteria but with this hand gel I feel like the Bubble Gum scent really comes through. When you first apply it you do get that strong alcohol fragrance but it soon dies down and you are left with a fun and pretty authentic Bubble Gum aroma. Another thing I love about this hand gel is the fact that it doesn’t dry the skin out. Once the product has sunk into the skin my skin feels nice and smooth and not dried out in the slightest.
Acne Ultra Clear* (link)
The second product to make it into my May 2016 Favourites is of course the Acne Ultra Clear cream. If you read my Acne Ultra Clear Review then you’ll know that I raved about this stuff. Basically Acne Ultra Clear is a moisturising cream product designed to help treat Cystic Acne and spot prone skin. Unlike a lot of spot treatment products on the market this does not dry out the skin nor does it make the skin feel really greasy or shiny. Instead the cream moisturises the skin and calms down redness and inflammation that come along with nasty spots. This cream hasn’t entirely stopped me from getting spots but I find it definitely helps improve my skin which in turn has given me more confidence.
Mini Tapered Brush From Sigma Eyeshadow Brush Dupes Set (link)
The third product to make it into my May 2016 Favourites is the Mini Tapered Brush that I purchased within a set of various eyeshadow brushes from AliExpress. If you’d like to see the entire set of brushes, be sure to check out my Under £3 Sigma Eyeshadow Brush Dupes post. Anyway, the Mini Tapered Brush is my go to brush for applying inner corner highlight. The brush is very small in size and allows maximum precision. The brush gives you so much control but because of its tapered shape you can also easily blend out the highlight for a more natural, less harsh looking finish. This brush is also great for applying concealer to tiny blemishes too.
Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose (link)
The final product to make it into my May 2016 Favourites is the Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose. As you can see this blush has a beautiful rose flower embossed design and if I’m honest, part of me didn’t want to ruin the design but I bit the bullet and boy am I glad. This blusher is incredibly pretty, it is a gorgeous rosy pink shade that just adds a lovely healthy colour to the cheeks. The blush is actually a lot more pigmented than I expected it to be and it has pretty great lasting power too. Believe it or not I’ve used this blush lots and despite this the stunning rose flower embossed design is pretty much still in tact.
Have you tried any of the products mentioned? What are your thoughts?
