November 2016 Favourites
W7 Hollywood Bronze and Glow
The W7 Hollywood Bronze and Glow is a possible Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Bronze and Glow dupe. I say possible as I’ve never actually tried the pricey product. However, judging off appearance alone the two products look really rather similar. Anyway, this little affordable duo contains a warm brown shade bronzer that provides the skin with a beautiful sheen.
The bronzer isn’t strongly pigmented but this is something I actually like. As I’m really quite pale I often find bronzers can make me look dirty which causes me to apply them with extreme caution. This is why I like the light pigmentation of this bronze. It means that I am able to build up the colour and avoid any faux pas. In terms of the highlighter, again this isn’t highly pigmented but it is a lovely warm peachy colour. As my skin is cool toned I didn’t think this would work at all on me. However, because it is so light and subtle, I can get away with it and it makes a lovely day to day highlight colour.
Technic Eyeshadow Mega Matte Nude Palette
The second product to make it into my November 2016 favourites is the 12 colour matte eyeshadow palette from Technic Cosmetics. This palette contains only matte eyeshadows. As a shimmer eyeshadow lover, this is something I never thought I would overly enjoy. However, I’ve been reaching for this palette on a daily basis as the shadows are extremely natural looking. Now I’ll admit like most cheap matte eyeshadows these shades are really quite powdery. But the pigmentation can be build up and the eyeshadows are easy to blend out. The only other thing I will say is that a good primer underneath these eyeshadows is essential for good wear time and to prevent fallout.
Makeup Revolution Highlighter in Pink Lights
The third product to make it into my November 2016 favourites is the Makeup Revolution Highlighter in Pink Lights. This is a super pretty pink coloured highlighter that I recently mentioned in my 3 great highlighters for under £5 blog post. This shade works absolutely fantastically with my pale and cool toned complexion and is a unique product in my makeup collection. This highlighter is actually more lilac looking than purple in my eyes, but it works wonderfully at brightening the skin. The highlighter can be used lightly for a natural and glowy finish or heavily for a really strong intense highlight. At just £3.00 this product is a real steal.
AliExpress Eyeshadow Brush Set
Also making it into my November 2016 favourites are the 12 eyeshadow brushes from good old AliExpress. I purchased this little set quite recently with it costing me around £3. The set contains a whole range of eyeshadow brushes including a fluffy blending brush, a handy angled liner brush and a great eyeshadow brush for packing on colour. I’m not going to go into too much detail with these brushes as I’m going to be writing a full in depth post on them however, I will say that they are fantastic quality. Especially considering how cheap and affordable they are to buy.
Real Techniques Bold Metals Flat Contour Brush Dupe
And the last item to make it into my November 2016 favourites is the Real Techniques 301 brush dupe which I purchased in my Real Techniques Bold Metals brush dupe set. I believe I’ve mentioned this brush before in a monthly favourites post. But once again, I cannot get enough of this brush. It’s just so soft, fluffy, well made and works amazingly at blending out contouring for a really natural looking finish.
