February 2017 Favourites

February 2017 Favourites Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze The first product to make it into my February 2017 favourites is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Bronzer. I’ve had this large bronzer sat in my collection for a while now. When we moved house naturally I sorted through all my makeup. It was then when I decided to make an effort to put this product to use. This is a bronzer that I find great for contouring. The finish is matte with an ever so slight sheen to it but it works well at creating faux shadows on the skin. Ideally, I…

2016 Favourites

2016 Favourites Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser* The first product to make it into my 2016 favourites is Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser. This is a product that I’ve fallen head over heels in love with. If you’re someone with very dry skin, seriously I urge you to try this. Astral Cream is basically a thick moisturiser. It is very affordable yet extremely effective. I use the cream both morning and night and I’ve definitely noticed a huge difference in my skin. My skin is much softer, smoother and my dry areas have improved fantastically. I’m not the…

November 2016 Favourites

November 2016 Favourites W7 Hollywood Bronze and Glow The W7 Hollywood Bronze and Glow is a possible Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Bronze and Glow dupe. I say possible as I’ve never actually tried the pricey product. However, judging off appearance alone the two products look really rather similar. Anyway, this little affordable duo contains a warm brown shade bronzer that provides the skin with a beautiful sheen. The bronzer isn’t strongly pigmented but this is something I actually like. As I’m really quite pale I often find bronzers can make me look dirty which causes me to apply them with extreme caution.…

3 Great Highlighters For Less Than £5

3 Great Highlighters For Less Than £5 Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Pink Lights The first of the great highlighters for under £5 is an offering from Makeup Revolution. I actually wrote a full review of the Makeup Revolution Highlighter in Pink Lights back in 2014. However, I still absolutely love the product so I thought it was definitely worth a mention. The product is a very unique and pretty pink highlighter. I have nothing else in my collection like it and the product works well with my pale complexion. In terms of the colour, it is much more of a…

3 Concealers That You Need To Try

3 Concealers That You Need To Try Over the years I’ve tried various different concealers. Many have quite frankly sucked. I tend to come across two problems. The first is the formula of concealers. The second is the actual shade. With having quite a pale complexion I often struggle when it comes to finding a colour match. The majority of the time the lightest shade is just too orange toned or too dark. A good thing is that many brands are expanding their range to fit a wider variety of skin tones. This is something I’ve really noticed over the…

Technic Colour Fix Cream Contour Palette Review

Technic Colour Fix Cream Contour Palette Review Over the past few months, I’ve mentioned quite a few Technic products on my blog. Recently I’ve talked about the Technic Colour Fix Concealer and the Technic Contour Stix. Both products made it into my August 2016 favourites but another product I’ve been enjoying has been the Technic Colour Fix Cream Contour Palette. This product is a palette that contains eight concealer like creams. The creams can be used to highlight and contour the face with the help of a simple brush or sponge. The Technic cream concealer palette is available from the Fragrance Direct website…
