When it comes to loose powders and even pressed powders, I am very particular in what I like and what I do not like. A lot of the powders on the market are certainly not compatible for my pale complexion as they’re always a little too dark or end up oxidising on my skin, transforming into an unattractive shade of orange. I also do not get on well with powders that are really dusty. I like my powders to be smoothing and provide a tiny bit of extra coverage. The best loose powder I’ve come across so far has been the Veil Translucent Finishing Powder. The powder is simply brilliant. If you like your powders to be finely milled, this is certainly a product I recommend checking out as I’m yet to find anything finer that this. Now if you were to order the powder it would come nicely packaged in a 23g pretty jar, not the little tub I have, I just fill my little pot up as my current makeup bag is really small so it fits in nicely. The powder retails at £22.50 however, you don’t need to apply heaps and heaps so it does last. If you’re really pale like myself, the powder will work nicely on your skin. Although named Translucent, the powder does provided the skin with a little extra coverage on top of your base makeup. It isn’t anything major but it just smooths everything out and completes the look nicely. I’d say if you are someone who has light to medium skin this will work really well on your skin however, if you are quite tanned or have medium to dark skin, I really recommend checking out the powder in the shade Dusk. This is a slightly darker tinted powder which works better on darker complexions as the Translucent shade can look a bit too light on those who have darker complexions. I find the powder lasts me literally all day long and really helps to keep shine at bay. I also like that it applies well with virtually any method whether it be a brush or a powder puff, it always seems to look good on my skin and applies evenly without looking cakey or feeling heavy as lets face it, there is nothing more horrible than applying all your makeup only for it to feel thick and heavy, especially during the warmer weather. Basically, I love this powder and I find nothing beats it in terms of performance.
