Beauty Bargain Find: W7 Argan Eyes Mascara Review
Not long back I shared a post titled 5 Great Affordable W7 Products You Should Try. In that post, I mentioned a mascara from the brand called the W7 Flirty Eyes Mascara. Essentially I really enjoyed the formula of the product as I found it added a nice amount of volume to my lashes. Plus, it reminded me a lot of the Maybelline Falsies Volume Mascara. Anyway, since trying that mascara I’ve discovered another mascara from W7 Makeup called W7 Argan Eyes Mascara. Is it as good as W7 Flirt Eyes Mascara? Well, in my opinion, it is even better.
I’ve actually already mentioned the mascara in my July 2016 favourites but I thought it deserved its very own stand-alone, in-depth post because, for the price, it is fantastic. If you are after a cheap and cheerful product that is going to add great length to your lashes, I highly recommend this product. Now, first things first, the mascara comes in a pretty gold coloured tube complete with a huge synthetic wand that is made up of tiny spikes. The brush allows you to really easily evenly coat your lashes due to its size. However, it can get a little messy. But fear not, a little cotton bud can easily wipe away any mistakes with minimal fuss.
In terms of the formula, the mascara has a much wetter consistency in comparison to the W7 Flirty Eyes Mascara. When on the lashes I’ve also found that it appears a little on the shiny side. This oddly gives a fuller and healthy looking illusion. Another thing worth pointing out is that the mascara does an excellent job at separating the lashes without clumping occurring. You can also achieve slight volume with this product, however, for fantastic volume, I recommend using an additional mascara.
A personal favourite, but not for everyone
I absolutely love this mascara. In terms of price, I paid just £2.50 on the Fragrance Direct website (link) for this mascara. I love the formula however, I think a few people simply wouldn’t get along with this product for a number of reasons. The first reason is because when this mascara comes into contact with a tiny bit of moisture, it majorly smears. Now obviously it’s not waterproof but if you are someone with weepy eyes, this isn’t going to work for you. Seriously, when I wear this if my eye waters a tiny bit I end up looking like a panda. Thankfully this isn’t really an issue for me as my eyes tend to be quite dry but it is something to keep in mind if your eyes are prone to watering.
The second thing I’d like to point out is that for me this mascara and my glasses do not mix. Your experience may be different but for me, the mascara lengthens my lashes so much that they bend and hit off my glasses. I personally don’t wear glasses 24/7 as I only need them for distance. This means that I’ll wear them on an evening when watching TV and when out on driving lessons. Whilst not a problem at the moment, I’ll be pretty much wearing my glasses on much more frequent basis when I pass my driving test. So perhaps in the future, this will become a less reached for mascara. But at present I love it and it is used on an almost daily basis.
