Recently I was contacted by the lovely people over at giffgaff. They challenged me to reconnect with my loved ones by hosting a games night. As someone who LOVES gaming and spending time with those important to me, I jumped at the opportunity.
Who and what is giffgaff?
If you’ve not heard of giffgaff they’re a mobile network run by its members. The network has a big community who really care about bringing people together. I’ve been a giffgaff customer for around 8 years now. I’ve gotta say, I’m a big fan of their monthly rolling goodybags. Not only are they great value for money, they also allow you to change things up each month say if you need more or fewer minutes or data. Another thing I’ve always been a fan of is the super helpful community.
The forum pages on the site have often been incredibly useful for me thanks to the great contributors who are always so friendly and willing to help. Speaking of friends, finding time to spend together can be a nightmare. With people working all different hours, having multiple commitments and life in general just getting in the way it can be tough to get together. That being said it really is important to take the time to spend with those who are important to you. Therefore, I was eager to get a get-together games night underway to really reconnect.
Kicking off the games night #giffgaffGamers
The absolute legends over at giffgaff very kindly gifted me a box of goodies to help me pull off the best little get together as part of the #giffgaffGamers campaign. Inside the box, I discovered lots of cool stuff. These items included great games from Big Potato Games and an Echo Dot to blast out tunes. Also inside was a JustEat voucher to help fill some tummies and some pre-loaded giffgaff SIM cards. Oh and of course the box included a trophy for the winner.
So with the help of my goodies, I invited some of my pals round and we got things underway. Sadly during the night, everyone went a bit camera shy. Therefore, I didn’t manage to get any snaps of everyone having a blast. However, I will say that the night consisted of lots of laughs, reminiscing, pizza and overall it was incredibly fun. It was just so lovely to get together and spend some proper quality time together. The night was super chilled, flew by and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I personally found the night really helped with my low mood and depression. Overall, it was a huge success and I’m super grateful for giffgaff helping me to pull the night off and allowing me to be part of #giffgaffGamers.

As I previously mentioned I’ve been a giffgaff customer for a number of years now. I really like the network and the flexibility I have in changing my monthly rolling contract, or goodybag as giffgaff call it. Goodybags start at just £6 with all different options available if you require more or fewer minutes, data or texts. Not only that if you select a Goodybag and you’re not hitting your usage the network will actually send you a text informing you that you could save money by swapping to a cheaper SIM only deal. Giffgaff also gives you an extra 1GB of data just because they’re awesome. If this network sounds like the one for you, free SIM cards are available to order to get you started on your flexible contact-free mobile journey.
When was the last time you spent some quality time with your loved ones?
