Wilko Homeware Haul – February 2017
A few years back I shared my 2014 Wilko haul. Since then I’ve gone on to buy various bits and pieces from the purse friendly shop but for some reason, I never really shared any further hauls, until now of course. As I mentioned in my 2016 goals recap Marc and I have recently bought our own home. This means that we’ve been on the look out for nice items to go into our home. Wilko has recently had some lovely bits in stock so we took advantage of this and picked up some lovely things for our home. Here is what we bought.
Gold Spotty Champagne Flute Glasses
The first items to feature in my Wilko homeware haul are these gorgeous gold spotty champagne flute glasses. Now sadly these glasses have sold out online but you may still be able to get your hands on them in store. I paid just £5 for this beautiful four piece set and I am over the moon with them. As a non-drinker champagne flutes aren’t something that I often buy but for special occasions I love a glass of Shloer so I thought these would be perfect. My photo above really doesn’t do the glasses justice. In reality, when the light hits these glasses they sparkle like glitter and look very pretty.
Wilko Love Heart Dinner Set
The second item in my Wilko homeware haul is the Wilko love heart dinner set. This set contains twelve pieces and goes wonderfully with our kitchen. The colours are soft and calming but the design is still quite cute and pretty. So far the plates have withstood both hand washing and have survived in the dishwasher plus at £20 I think the set was very reasonably priced.
Love Hearts Design Tea and Sugar Canisters
Another couple of items featured in my Wilko homeware haul are the love hearts design canisters which perfectly match the dinner set that I picked up. I got the love hearts tea canister and the love hearts sugar canister. Some might be wondering why I didn’t also buy the coffee one. Well to put it simply we didn’t need it. Neither Marc, I or anyone who visits drinks coffee so it seemed silly spending money on something that wasn’t going to be used. At £5.00 each I think these canisters are a steal as they feel good quality and the design is adorable.
Wilko Wooden Heart Chopping Board
The last item to make it into my Wilko homeware haul is the Wilko wooden heart chopping board. Now I do apologise for the state of the chopping board pictured. As you can probably tell I didn’t manage to get a snap of it before we began using it. Plus since buying it we have used it a lot! This chopping board is adorably shaped and cost just £4.00. It is a little on the small side but it is quite weighty for what it is. For the price, I personally think it is a good little bargain and instead of using it as a chopping board, it could even potentially make a nice little cheese board.
